Learning Anatomy & Physiology Can Be A Challenge At Anytime...
Whether taking the course in a traditional setting or engaged in distance learning, the time requirements for A&P can be overwhelming. When combined with a full academic schedule and the demands on time outside of classes, it doesn't take long for students to become frustrated and discouraged and begin to wonder if they will ever be able to catch up.
Start Now!But Taking A&P Shouldnât Be Frustrating
...In Fact, It Should Be Rewarding!
Sometimes it just takes a different, more focused setting for learning, or perhaps someone to explain a concept in a slightly different way, someone that can be focused on YOUR specific circumstances and work to improve YOUR understanding. And improving YOUR understanding, and making YOU successful is the goal of Virtual Anatomy Learning.

Hi! I'm Dr. Joe
And Welcome to Virtual Anatomy Learning!
After years of teaching A&P, including through much of the pandemic, it is clear that distance learning has forced both teacher and student to use different strategies to both teach and learn A&P. After identifying and separating out distance learning âtragediesâ from useful strategies, I have incorporated the successful learning strategies at Virtual Anatomy Learning. Strategies that can be used online to help students become more successful in A&P. And of course, success in A&P can translate into access to the career program that the student (you!) aspires to!
At the top of the list is individualized help. No surprise there, but a bit of a complication when distance is interposed between student and teacher! I have developed several ways to reduce the âdistanceâ in distance learning between student and teacher and still provide individualized learning opportunities for the student.
1:1 Coaching Sessions as well as mini-courses can be found in other sections of Virtual Anatomy Learning and may or may not fit a studentâs style of learning. But a tried and true technique that I used throughout the pandemic simply requires the conversion of an image into an audio Power Point explanation. The image can be supplied by the student, thereby assuring that the topic is specific to the student needs, or Virtual Anatomy Learning can pull an image for use after consultation with the student! Either way the student receives personalized help on a troublesome topic that can later be utilized by the student for both review and test preparation!
